Those who knew him said he left a profound impact on others, and is being remembered as a cherished coworker at Wawa, Walmart, and more.
"I had the pleasure of working with Patrick at Walmart," one person wrote in his Guestbook on his obituary. "He knew how to keep a smile on your face. He was such a giving and kind soul."
"Patrick (Kool-Aid) your smile lit up the world!" another added. "My heart hurts for the family, I pray that all of the love and great memories help ease the pain."
A cause of death was not listed.
Patrick is survived by his parents, Willie McCoy Sr. and Barbara McCoy; and siblings, Bryan, Willie, and Christa McCoy, his obituary says.
Services were held June 27 at the A.L. Bennett and Son Funeral Home, with interment at Quantico National Cemetery, in Triangle.
